We’re Selling our Condo + A Checklist of To-dos Before Listing your house!

We will be moving into our new house in a few months!! Although the house is completely ripped apart at the moment, before we know it the renovations will be wrapping up and we’ll be making the move across town. That is just so exciting (and a little overwhelming) to think about! This also means it’s about time to get our condo on the market and sell this baby. We’ve been a little apprehensive to start the selling process since the market has been so wild lately. On one hand, we want to sell our condo as quickly as possible to cut down costs of owning two properties at once. On the other hand, with our house currently under massive construction, we don’t want to sell TOO quickly and be out of a place to live for the summer. Like most things, it’s going to be a little balancing act with timing but we’re staying positive and know it’ll work out for the best!

With all that being said, it’s time to get our condo in order to list. I like to think we’ve kept this place in shape but its crazy how things just accumulate over time right?! The first thing I like to do is declutter any and all closets, purge clothes and items we don’t use/need anymore, and re-organize the stuff that we do need. Doing this not only gives your current space a breath of fresh air but also gets you a step ahead for moving into a new home. Once that’s done, we repair and replace anything that needs attention, clean everything as thoroughly as we can and cross our fingers for the perfect buyer! I am a list-maker at heart so I created a checklist that we will be using to prep our condo. We’ve already donated a BUNCH of clothes and hope to finish everything by the end of the month.
